LCM - 1000 density mix pouring to raised foundation level.

Raising foundation level for sewerage treatment tank at Singapore's Kim Chuan sewerage treatment plant. The job requires the usage of Lightweight Concrete as using conventional concrete which is of very high density ( 2400 kg/m3), Therefore LCM is utilize and a 1000 density Lightweight concrete is used.

Preparation of LCM Foaming generators & Shooting of Foam into ready-mix truck loaded with 1000 kg of cement and 2000 kg of fine sand with 420 liters of water. A total of 170 liters of pre-mix LCM foaming agent is shot into the truck and density was reduced to 1000 kg/m3. From 1 mere 3 m3 before shooting of foam, it expand to obtain 6 m3 after foam is added.

A 300mm PVC pipe was used as a guide gutter to slide down the LCM 1000 density mix into the bottom of the sewerage tank bottom.

A total of 400 m3 of LCM was require to raised the whole area of the tank, the job was completed in 48 hours
